Our Framlingham Castle trip

We visited the 12th century Medieval castle in Framlingham, Suffolk. Our aim was to study the castle's structure and how the castle defended itself.

The 5/4's had questions to answer as they studied the inside of castle. Then they walked around the battlements of the castle on the wall walk - observing arrow slits, murder holes and the surrounding area. Finally we all walked around the outside, in the castle's moat.

The trip will shape the Medieval work we do throughout the term.
