The rest of the class were shocked and in horror as Dr Missankov inspected the boys. She wore a mask and studied the child's condition. We came to the conclusion that there was not much hope for the boys.
There were lots of different medieval reasons why the boys may have caught this deadly plague. Sir John was keen to know why, so the class came to the conclusion it may have been because they had breathed in bad air, upset the gods, or because the planets weren't aligned.
We have been writing newspapers reports of the breaking news story. (Please click on the photos to get a closer look.)
Some headlines included: "Rats Rule Roydon!", "R.P.S. hit by Black Death" and "Rats hold children hostage"
Harry wrote "an outstanding school in Norfolk has been hit by the black death. The school stated that they didn't actually know some of their pupils were sick".
Reece wrote - Lewis Allen 9 explained "the grossest bit was when the buboes popped!".
Holly wrote - "the two boys were shivering like they were in the atlantic ocean. However they have stayed alive".
